Begin by practising each of the four voices in turn, as legato as possible (S, A, T, B) before combining in pairs (RH alone = SA; LH alone = TB, but try SB and AT, for example) Then practise the following formulae, with each hand separately – no pedal and as legato as possible within the hand.
