The Coda

After the trio, Chopin begins a standard Da Capo return of the main waltz section, but after a mere 12 measures, this repetition is brought to a screeching halt with a dramatic diminished 7th chord (measure 111). The ensuing coda brings the piece to its biggest climax, followed by a breathlessly exciting conclusion. This coda presents some technical challenges, which can again be addressed using rhythmic practise. The passage in measures 112-115 may be the most difficult in the piece.
