For Adult Beginners, Returning Pianists & Teachers

Are you busy working through Penelope’s new course, Foundations in Piano Technique? Do you have any questions or need some insights and guidance in applying the concepts to your playing? Or are you an adult beginner or returning pianist looking for assistance with trouble spots in your technique?

Join us online on Thursday 15th February for a technique clinic in which Penelope answers questions submitted in advance from course participants and beginner pianists. In this interactive session, you will be able to:

• Ask questions and obtain assistance in putting the concepts and techniques from the course into practice
• Work with Penelope to get help with trouble spots arising from the exercises and repertoire examples
• Learn how to apply Penelope’s approach in depth to practical examples
• Observe Penelope in in action and gain insights into how to solve technical problems for yourself or students

Who it’s for?

This workshop is open to:

• Participants who have completed or who are busy working through Foundations in Piano Technique
• Beginner and returning pianists at an elementary or intermediate level who are interested in observing and finding out how to apply Penelope’s approach to technique to their own playing
• Teachers who are new to Penelope’s work or have studied her other courses e.g. Teaching Healthy Piano Technique or The Complete Pianist, and would like the opportunity to observe her working with students

The format

This 90-minute workshop will take a practical, interactive format in which Penelope will respond to questions submitted in advance (a form for question submission will be provided upon sign-up). Participants will have the opportunity to work with Penelope online and the option to send us a video recording outlining your question or demonstrating anything you would like Penelope to address during the session.

Although anyone can sign-up for this event, questions from course participants will be prioritised. Recordings will also be made available to all in-person and online ticketholders after the event.

If you haven’t yet started the course then you are most welcome to join us online as an observer. You will also have the opportunity to submit questions you would like addressed in the session.
