Would you like feedback on a piece you’re working on? Or would you like input on a specific problem you’re having?
This online performance workshop gives pianists of all levels the opportunity to perform (or play a recording of their performance of) a piece of their choice for Graham Fitch and an audience of observers. Unlike the traditional masterclass format, this workshop is tailored to provide each performer with the feedback and input that best matches their needs, regardless of their level of playing.
Your pieces do not need to be complete or performance ready as the emphasis on this session is on finding solutions to problems and working towards a performance. Therefore you are welcome to present pieces you've started learning or excerpts thereof that you need help with.
How it works
On signing up, you will receive a link to a form to provide us with some basic details regarding your performance.
Prior to the event, we will need you to confirm your repertoire and either send us a brief test recording (if performing live) or their recording you'd like us to use for the purposes of the session.
During the workshop, each participant will have a five minute slot to perform their piece or to have a recording that they have submitted in advance played back. Graham will then spend at least five minutes providing feedback on the performance, depending on the performer's requirements. The feedback may be general in nature or could focus on specific areas, problems or questions requested by the performer.
A recording of the event will be made available to all participants shortly afterwards.
